New Index Tracks Strong & Consistent Price Increases for Fancy Colored Diamonds

Based on the new, first of its kind Fancy Color Diamond Index, fancy colored diamond valuations have increased by 167% on average since January 2005. Much of this growth is fueled by an astonishing 360% growth in the value of pink diamonds, followed by blue diamonds, which have shown an equally consistent growth of 161%.

Fancy colored diamonds dramatically outperformed key global asset indices in the last decade. For example, the Dow Jones Industrial Average has notched a 58% increase, the S&P 500 a 63% increase, and London housing a 82.1% increase during the same period of time. Importantly, fancy color diamond values were unaffected by the global financial crisis of 2008 to 2010.
